Manchester United are being linked with a sensational move to re-sign Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Sir Alex dined with Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, in Madrid last week after taking in the first-leg of the Champions League semi.
The Portuguese superstar has managed to win only one trophy in two seasons at Real and the Madrid giants' move for Udinese star Alexis Sanchez has sparked speculation that they see the Chilean as a direct replacement for Ronaldo.
Ferguson has also spoken of bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford. The Scot refused to rule out the prospect last week, only declaring it as "difficult", but certainly not impossible.
