She admitted that Akshay has been a great inspiration to her and she has learnt dedication from him, “I have learnt dedication towards work from my co-star Akshay Kumar. If you have good talent but take it for granted, then it fails for you. However, if you have less talent but work hard towards it then you get what you want. Someone like Akshay has a good combination of both talents which he hones further by working hard on it.”

Speaking about maximum hits and minimum loses that she has in her credit, Kat said, “There should be one strong point at least when a film if offered to me. No, it isn’t like I am a lucky mascot or anything but I believe in praying and hoping. I believe and pray that if you genuinely ask something it is granted.”

She further adds, “I don’t have enough knowledge of films but I think that a film has to have some quality control at the least. If a director is new then at the least he should have a good and strong script. On the other hand, if a director is experienced that even a new actor with a good script can work.”katrina kaif

Man Utd in pole position to sign Manuel Neuer after political infighting at Bayern

Political infighting at Bayern Munich has left the way clear for Manchester United to snap up their top goalkeeping target Manuel Neuer.

Schalke's Germany No 1 seems certain to leave at the end of the season, if not sooner, after heavily criticising his side's 5-0 defeat at Kaiserslautern and claiming they were in danger of being relegated from the Bundesliga.

Bayern and United looked to be shaping up for a straight fight for the 24-year-old, but Sportsmail can reveal that a war of words behind the scenes at the Allianz Arena has left Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson in pole position.

While president Uli Hoeness and chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge both strongly favour a move for Neuer, manager Louis Van Gaal is standing up to them and insisting the club stick with 22-year-old prospect Thomas Kraft, who won rave reviews on his Champions' League debut against Roma last week.

As a further encouraging sign for United, locally-born Neuer, who has retained his membership of Schalke's supporters' club, is wary of upsetting a fan base who would prefer him to move abroad rather than to bitter rivals Bayern.

Neuer, under contract until 2012 and valued at around £16million, refused to discuss his future after Saturday's mauling at Kaiserslautern, but said: 'That was a catastrophe and I have no explanation for such a disastrous performance.

'I can understand why the fans were so angry because if we keep playing like that, we will be relegated.'

Ferguson is keen to sign an experienced stopper to take the gloves from Dutchman Edwin van der Sar, who is approaching the end of a brilliant career, having celebrated his 40th birthday last month.

The United manager is already building for the future, after paying Aalesunds £3.5m for Denmark keeper Anders Lingegaard.

Guardiola keen on working with Sir Alex rather than taking Chelsea job. Do you get it Abrahimovich?

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is keen on working with Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United rather than taking the Chelsea job as has been reported.
The former midfield star’s three-year contract with Barcelona finishes at the end of the season and reports suggest that he wants to move into coaching in England by joining Fergie at Old Trafford.
A Barcelona source toldMirrorFootball: "It seems that Pep really would be keen on working with Sir Alex, if that was possible. It would allow him to come to terms with England under the guidance of the best."
Guardiola has been heavily linked with the top job at Chelsea for when Carlo Ancelotti leaves but news has emerged indicating he would love to step into the role with United and wants Ferguson to stay on as a mentor.

Manchester United stars out in force for United for UNICEF gala dinner

There has been little charity given to visiting teams on the pitch at Old Trafford in recent weeks, just ask Blackburn Rovers.

But it seems Manchester United still have some mercy after the club hosted the annual United for UNICEF's gala dinner at their stadium.

Celebrities from across showbusiness joined the players from the Premier League leaders to help raise money for UNICEF's 'Unite for Children, United against AIDS' programme.

Tables at the lavish gala - which was hosted by Northern Irish actor James Nesbitt - cost between £1,950-£3,500 each.

Writing on his Twitter page after the event, defender Rio Ferdinand said: 'Was at the Man Utd UNICEF charity dinner/auction last night. What a generous room we were in. It's all about the giving when it comes to charity.

'James Nesbitt - an ambassador along with myself for UNICEF is an inspiration to me through his work he does for this quality charity.'

United have been working with UNICEF since 1999, raising over £2million and benefiting 1.5m children across the globe.

As part of the partnership, players will record television, video and radio messages.

Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, 21, who plays teenage murderer Theresa McQueen, looked thrilled to be meeting Sir Alex Ferguson and posted a photo of herself with the football manager on her Twitter page.

Wayne and Coleen Rooney christen son Kai in a low-key ceremony

For their son Kai's first birthday, Wayne and Coleen Rooney splashed out on a £90,000 Disney-themed party.

But when it came to marking the one-year-old's spiritual journey through life, they wisely decided to tone things down.

The millionaire couple hosted a low-key, private Christening for Kai in Liverpool yesterday, with just family and the tots' godparents in attendance.

Among the guests at the intimate ceremony were Coleen's parents Tony and Colette McLoughlin and Wayne's parents Thomas and Jeanette.

The christening - which comes just a few weeks after Kai's lavish first birthday party - is another demonstration the Rooneys have got their marriage back on track following allegations of Wayne's alleged infidelity.

The family gathering explains Wayne's absence from the United For Unicef gala dinner at Old Trafford last night.

His teammates, including Michael Owen and Wes Brown, and their WAGS all dressed up for the annual fundraising dinner.

Kai's christening came after Wayne returned to Manchester United for the first time since threatening to leave the club last month.

Carrick desperate for new contract!

Midfielder Michael Carrick is hoping to stay at Manchester United for the long term, despite not having yet secured a new deal with the club.

Carrick is contracted to the Old Trafford club until the end of next season, but has not had an easy time of things this term, suffering from an Achilles problem.  He recently returned to Sir Alex Ferguson's side though and is desperate to stay at Manchester United for as long as possible.

According to The People, Carrick said, “Nothing has happened regarding talks as yet, but this is the place for me – it’s a great club.

“I’ve had some unbelievable times here and, hopefully, will have many more. I love everything about being a United player.”

Carrick acknowledged his struggle for form at times, but is looking towards Manchester United launching a real title tilt.

He said, “It’s been a struggle, but as a player you have ups and downs.

“We believe if we can hit top form then we have a great chance of winning the league.”

Man Utd remains in the hunt for new GK to replace van der Sar, Lindegaard is for the future.

Manchester United remains in the hunt for a new goalkeeper to replace Edwin van der Sar – despite forking out £3.5million for Anders Lindegaard.

The Dane, 26, has been snapped up from Norwegian club Aalesunds but is being described by Sir Alex Ferguson as one for the future.

With Old Trafford veteran Van der Sar retiring at the end of the season, United are ready to step up their chase for their top target, Atletico Madrid’s David De Gea, 20.

Tomasz Kuszczak would then either move on or drop down the pecking order.

Van der Sar could remain at Old Trafford – but it would be in a consultancy capacity on the goalkeeping front.

Fergie said: “Anders is one of the brightest young keepers in the game.

“The challenge at Manchester United is always to look to the future and in Anders, we have signed a goalkeeper of great presence and even more promise.

“I think it is Edwin’s last season. We had a chat last year about how we saw the future. It’s difficult for goalkeepers when they get to 40.

“It happened with Peter Shilton – I always remember that all of a sudden he collapsed. I don’t think Edwin would want that – he’s such a proud man.

“I don’t know what his plans are but, if he was going to stay on, it would be as a consultant.”

And on the goalkeeping situation at United, Ferguson added: “We are looking at a lot of things at the moment.”

Also in the frame to take over are Germany’s Manuel Neuer, 24, at Schalke and Ajax and Holland keeper Maarten Stekelenburg, 28.

Shay Given is also being linked with United but agreeing a deal with neighbours Manchester City would be difficult.

De Gea is the most-wanted keeper in Europe. He has a buy-out clause in his contract of £35m but a more-realistic fee is likely to be £20m.

Fergie, meanwhile, will field a strong team at West Ham on Tuesday in the Carling Cup.

He said: “I might play Rooney and then there will be players like Smalling, Evans, Fabio, Gibson, Anderson, Berbatov, Obertan and Macheda.”

Michael Owen still isn’t ready to return from his hamstring injury – but is expected to be back before Christmas.

But Ferguson insisted Owen is “definitely not going” to another club in January.

Sir Alex: Welbeck to stay at Man Utd

Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant Danny Welbeck's future belongs at Old Trafford.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has declared an interest in securing the services of the England Under-21 international on a full-time basis.
Ferguson, however, will not sanction such a sale and has earmarked the Manchester-born youngster to play a prominent role with the first-team squad next term, says the Sunday Mirror.

Easy A (2010) -Let's not and say we did-

After a comedy of 2006 with Will Farrel (Talladega Nights) today I've brought you a hottest and one of the latest movies. This is a romantic comedy and it has got into 7.6/10 in IMDB ratings. So you can see how much people were impressed by it know. Hope you'll be the next inline to download and enjoy this awesome comedy of the season. As you have all watched stories of high school romance don't think of this as yet another teen movie. Believe me this can be enjoyed by almost everyone. As usual I'll give you a little insight now..
Story: Making an original teen comedy about losing one’s virginity seems impossible, even oxymoronic. Somehow, they managed to make a film that’s actually refreshing amid the slew of teeny-bopper movies that usually leave you feeling like you’ve dropped a few IQ points. With Easy A, the literary and pop references help you forget you’re watching a movie about a group of horny 17-year-olds.

Leading the pack of horndogs is Olive Penderghast (Emma Stone), an unusually insightful (but like, totally unpopular) girl who gets herself wrapped up in lies about her sexual history (or lack thereof). When Olive realizes the advantages of the notorious “slut” title, she takes money for pretending to sleep with guys in need of their own reputational boosts. Stone is charmingly witty as the pseudo prostitute of her school, and with hilarious supporting roles from talented seasoned actors Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson, Easy A just might be enjoyed by someone who isn’t still in high school

Director: Will Gluck
Writer: Bert V. Royal
Stars: Emma Stone, Amanda Bynes and Penn Badgley
Run time: 92 min
Things that make 'Easy A' a must watch:    Well its not another traditional high school sex and comedy movie but it has got so much fun stuff to keep you eager until the final moment. Emma Stone does her best in the role and others also has done the parts really well. You won't get a chance to watch comedies everyday, specially the ones that really make you laugh.
So here's your chance.Grab it and enjoy...

Manchester United announce Anders Lindegaard signing

Manchester United have announced the signing of Aalesunds goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard.
The 26-year-old passed a medical in Manchester earlier this week and has now signed a deal until 2014, after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.
Lindegaard will train with United from now, but he will not be eligible to play until the transfer window re-opens in January.
Sir Alex was delighted to get his man, commenting "Anders is one the brightest young keepers in the game".
"The challenge at Manchester United is always to look to the future and in Anders, we have signed a goalkeeper of great presence and even more promise.
"Having the time to train with him before he is registered will be an important period for him - almost like a pre season to get him integrated with the other players."
Lindegaard added: "Joining Manchester Unit is a dream come true for me.
"The club is such an institution in Denmark, it's an honour to come here.
"I'm looking forward to playing and training alongside some of the great players in football today.
"I can't wait to be part of this team and to make my contribution to keeping the team at the top of the game."

Match Analysis and Highlights: Rangers 0-1 Man Utd, Rangers using 5-man defence again!

A late Wayne Rooney penalty meant United eventually found a way past Rangers’ back five.

Walter Smith’s tactics had worked well so far in the competition, but he was without two key members of his usual five – Madjid Bougherra and Sasa Papac. He was also dealt an injury blow when Kyle Lafferty broke a bone in his hand the day before the game, so Vladimir Weiss played on the left.

United were without both Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, whilst Patrice Evra also didn’t start. Fabio, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling came in, whilst Rooney returned as a centre-forward. Ryan Giggs started on the left.

This is not the most defensive performance you’ll ever see in football, but it will quite possibly be the most defensive performance you’ll see from a side who needed to win to stay in the competition. Valencia’s win against Bursaspor was pretty much guaranteed – the Turkish champions went into the game with no points and no goals from their previous four fixtures. It finished 6-1. Nothing less than three points would do for Rangers.

Rangers sit back

In fairness, there is little ‘analysis’ to be had here. Rangers formed two solid banks deep inside their own half – a line of five, and a line of four. United played with a 4-4-2 and dominated possession, but struggled to play their way through nine players.

Fans of attacking football will not sympathise with Smith’s approach, but it was probably the right way to go about things, even considering that (whereas a 0-0 at Old Trafford was a good result), Rangers needed to score.

Whilst shutting United out quite effectively, they also threatened sporadically when attacking – set-pieces were an opportunity to get plenty of men forward (and three centre-backs came in handy here) whilst Kenny Miller ran the channels well and had a decent chance towards the end of the first half.

Forward shift?

Although the 5-4-1 looks incredibly defensive on paper, it can shift very easily into a 3-4-3 with the natural runs forward of wing-backs and wide midfielders. This was broadly the system Rangers used – there was little attacking threat from the two central midfielders.

The criticism of Rangers would be that they didn’t shift into the more attacking phase of the system enough – the wing-backs, in particular, were too reserved, and could have taken the opportunity to get into the opposition half more – Ryan Giggs and Nani would have been forced back briefly, and if not, it would given Rangers a 2 v 1 situation on the flanks (a benefit of playing with a 5-4-1 rather than a 5-3-2).

Much of what happened on the pitch was covered before the game in Jonathan Wilson’s piece about the effectiveness of the five-man defence in relation to Rangers, partly based upon the performances of UruguayAlgeria, New Zealand and North Korea at the World Cup – the first three kept clean sheets against France, England and Italy, whilst North Korea held out well against Brazil.

How to penetrate the five?

There was further confusion in this game because United didn’t really need to win it, and so were hardly going gung ho in their search for goals (unlike, say, in Inter’s notorious performance at the Nou Camp, although that is a point of reference in terms of mentality, rather than formation, since Inter used a back four). It would have been interesting to see Sir Alex Ferguson’s tactics had a win been a must, for his decisions about selection and tactics here were influenced as much by who he wanted to give some playing time to – Fabio, Rooney, Smalling – rather than how to break down Rangers.

It is likely, however, that the fairly rigid 4-4-2 he used is probably the worst way to play against a side setting out as Rangers did. For a start, he used two strikers that rarely looked to move into midfield and instead stayed high up against the three centre-backs. This simply meant that the job of each Rangers player was quite obvious – wide midfielders picked up full-backs, central midfielders picked up central midfielders, full-backs tracked wingers and two centre-backs had a man each, with a spare man at the back.

It would probably have caused Rangers more problems if United had a man permanently stationed between the lines, forcing one of the centre-backs out, or perhaps if they’d played with a 4-1-4-1, with the intention of getting midfield runners breaking late into the penalty area. A formation like this would have meant United could have created triangles on the edge of the box around the Rangers midfielders – not that keeping possession was a problem, but passing in order to create chances for midfielders making runs was probably the order of the day.

Indeed, United’s best chance in open play came when Michael Carrick moved forward to get himself in the box, and the late run confused Rangers’ defence. Carrick shot straight at Alan McGregor. Carrick actually did well when getting himself forward – he set up Nani for a decent chance with a simple one-two in the first half, which showed that United could have done with an attacking central midfielder. They didn’t need Paul Scholes and Carrick doing broadly the same job in the centre of midfield, and could have done with one of them stationed further forward.

In the end, it was a dart forward from full-back that lured Rangers into giving away the crucial penalty, and Rooney converted from the spot.

Conclusion

In theory this was an interesting tactical clash, but there were certain factors that could have made it more intriguing. If United had really needed the win, their change in approach would have offered some interest, whilst it also would have been fascinating if Steven Davis had been punished for a trip in the penalty box in the opening minutes of the game. If United had gone 1-0 up early on, how would Rangers have reshaped, if at all?

Overall, the game gives weight to the growing feeling that five-man defences can be useful at stifling stronger opponents. It is interesting that it was a full-back who eventually got the breakthrough, as this is similar to the North Korea v Brazil game, where Maicon opened the scoring. In the Uruguay v France game it was also France’s full-backs who were the most dangerous players – Uruguay were unique in those four aforementioned matches in playing a 5-3-2 rather than 5-4-1, so the opposition full-backs were free.

That said, considering the two sides’ eventual progress in that competition, it’s unfair to consider Uruguay the ‘weaker’ side of the two, and that game means less in hindsight than it did at the time for a five-man defence.

Still, the common theme of the New Zealand, Algeria and Rangers success stories (United taking 177 minutes to get past Rangers can be considered as a success in relation to Smith’s intentions, regardless of what you think about his mentality) has been that they’ve been playing against 4-4-2s. Two strikers plays into the hands of three- or five-man defences, and using plenty of midfield runners is probably more likely to open up such a side.
