Man Utd is reportedly interested in signing Zenit's Danny for €30million. Ridiculous!

Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly interested in signing Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Danny

The 27-year-old became the most expensive player in the Russian league when he moved from Dynamo Moscow to Zenit for €30million in 2008.  He has been the fulcrum of his side's attacking play ever since then, scoring nine goals and setting up six in the 2010 season.

Danny has amazing technical ability, phenomenal vision and passing ability as well as a great turn of pace and shot at goal.  He can play in all attacking midfield and forward positions, and has pulled the strings superbly at both Dynamo Moscow and Zenit.

German website 4-4-2 claims that Manchester United are willing to pay €30million to bring Danny to Old Trafford.  Ferguson will well remember that Danny scored the winner against Manchester United on his Zenit debut in the 2008 UEFA Super Cup.  Manchester United of course have recently made good use of Portugese midfield imports, with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani starring at Old Trafford.

Danny has also been rewarded at international level.  He has seventeen caps and three goals to his name for Portugal and was selected for their World Cup squad.
