Solskjaer bids farewell to United and takes over at Molde. All the best!!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will bid an emotional farewell to Old Trafford after agreeing to take the reins of Molde.

Solskjaer has held lengthy discussions with the Norwegian outfit, and is set to be unveiled as the club's new manager on Tuesday.

Former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler has left his job as temporary coach at Molde after saving the club from relegation.

Now Molde have persuaded Solskjaer to take over in January ahead of the Norwegian season starting again next March.

Molde chairman Erik Berg said on Sunday night: 'It's no secret that we have worked intensely to get Ole Gunnar. But we have not signed any contract yet.'

The 37-year-old, who played 366 games for United, was forced to call time on his playing career in 2007 with a long-standing knee injury.
