Kai Rooney, the catalyst to Rooney's form this season

Kai might only be six-months-old but he is already getting a taste of the high life as he took his first luxury holiday with his mum and dad.

Wayne and Coleen Rooney treated their son to a short break in Majorca for some last minute family bonding ahead of the Manchester United striker’s World Cup duties for England.
The new parents couldn’t stop smiling as they lapped up the sunshine with their baby.

Coleen made sure to take as many photos as possible of Kai on her iPhone, while Wayne, also 24, spoon-fed his son while he was propped up in his designer pram.

The Rooney’s stayed in an exclusive Spanish island villa to relax in style, and we’re sure it’s only the start of many more extravagant family holidays to come. Doting Wayne is making the most of fatherhood and even showed off Kai at Old Trafford last week.

He finished his Man United end-of-term celebrations by taking Kai onto the pitch dressed in an England shirt with Daddy on the back.

Wayne also recently revealed that becoming a father has changed his attitude to life.
‘It’s been a life changing experience,’ he told the People.

‘Becoming a dad means you have to be a role model for your son and be someone he can look up to.’ And he said becoming a father transformed him from a nightclubber into a family man.

He admitted he now enjoys early nights and spending time at home with his son and wife Coleen instead of partying with team-mates.

He said: 'I don't think it has changed me as the person I am but it has just added something different to my life in a great way. It's different and hard work, but a great feeling.

'Now I have someone to look after and I just want to be with Kai and Coleen as much as possible.

'I don't go out clubbing very much any more, maybe only a couple of times a year.  I'm now in bed by 10:30pm, it used to be 1am.'
