My only concern is AC21 letters not getting into your file and USCIS issuing a NOID or a denial.
Other than notifying CIS of our job change, there is nothing else we can do. If it results in a denial, it is easy enough to reverse that, so I would not worry about it.
I am changing jobs in 2 weeks. As I said earlier, I am prepared for my employer revoking the 140 and CIS denying my 485 by mistake. At this point, I am not even bothering to notify CIS about my job change.

Why the bloody hell are you guys judging him for what he has done? He only asked for some advise regarding immigration implications of his situation.
I do not think any of you who is beating him down like this has any right in doing so. I bet that each and every one of you have done more mistakes than Mr.Sahaayam did. You just were never caught. You must have done more filthy things than 'shop lifting'. I'm sure you have all lusted after women, watched porn, frequented strip clubs and drank a lot of filth. Some of you might have slept with more than one woman.

Yes, I am also in the same boat. Filed my 9th year extension in March, responded RFE during 1st week of August. Mine will be expiring in 3 more days. Hoping to get the extension soon.

I got my DL in Colorado just after Sept 11.....and it was for 10 years...luckily. Yes, you are correct Colorado has been traditionally super conservative, but with people from different states moving in..that is changing, only a shade though.

Ron has not made prediction specifically about India. Somebody asked Ron about filing I-485 with May 2004 PD without mentioning that (s)he was from India. So Ron probably assumed RoW. We EB3-I's are looking for any sign, just any sign of hope. But let's be cautious in disseminating such information further.
EB3 - ROW is already 01MAY05. He would not be saying 2004 for sure on EB3 ROW.

When we conducted D.C. rally, there were roughly 1500 people attended. Each member has his/her own reason for not attending the rally.
The reasons could be, taking a day off from work or to far from their place etc..,
As a first step��..:)
Why don�t we plan for rally on the same day, same time at various major cities? This would enable members to attend in their respective cities.
We knew that, we are 25K+ members strong and can hold rallies/protests, where we have (major cities) at least 100+ members.
We must invite media and local US leader�s for rally and show our strength and request them to work towards the Green Cards.
Why don�t we plan for a rally during the this Christmas season?

You are missing the point. I do NOT think I am SPECIAL. I have an MBA from a US reputed Univ. plus 5 years of experience... I do assessment of their existing IT systems and give recommendations.
My logic is differrent.. This is valid for US born people too. WHY would a company pay $180 an hour to a consulting Co. for the same skill-sets.... however, when you go to them directly they will just pay you $60-$70.

This is wrong. EAD can be issued when both of the following conditions MUST meet:
I140 has been approved
I485 application is 180 days old
Thats incorrect, You will still get your EAD if I-140 is pending. But, in futiure if your I-140 is say rejected, you will be instantly out of status (If you are on EAD).

We are working on 3-4 amendments that reduce retrogression and help with backlog candidates with longer H1 extensions (Instead of 1 year H1b extensions).
Please keep in mind the Core group has given 3 months of devoted time and its in core group's interest also to get things done.
These amendments will go into the final bill before the debate is over and we will let everyone know the time/date details just a few moments before they are being introduced, if its possible to do that.
The WSJ article was aimed with a different purpose addressing the republican candidates who have taken a strong stance against latino population and its election consequences. It would not have been good to get ourselves mentioned in article that has largely advocated illegals. We have been trying to separete ourselves from illegals. Remember???
Regarding the media exposure for us, QGA has given us Roll-Call article exclusively for IV, NBC appointment(Siva was on NBC last week on Brian Williams) etc.
Please be patient and trust us, we are in the same boat as you are and we would appreciate a little patience for a little more time please.

Your good fight on the retrogression issue kind of kept us going without giving up. In just a few days what some of you have done with www.immigrationvoice.org is amazing and it truly deserves a lot better than the faint response they have got so far from all of us in this legal black hole. Honestly, I do not care if we are not able to raise 100K dollars for the lobbying efforts for the next immigration bill on February. I don not care if this money is finally lost. It will be money well spent if we all realize that we have to do something instead of waiting years and years and years� Any money is worth the effort regarding our goals, even if our present intention does not succeed. Is worth it!!. Lets move on, hoping for the best� It is worth to try this next immigration bill. Any money spent on this is worth it� Can not you guys see it? More and more years on this black hole!! More years paying our lawyers for H1B renewal, more years for renewal of our driving licenses, more years for our wives to wait, more years for our employers exploiting us� This next immigration bill could be our last chance in many years to get our unfair and sad situation known and probably solved. Obviously i was wanting to know what the law states...and not a democratic answer. I dont always expect forums to quote the law correctly - use your judgement!
Thanks anyway for that answer. My situation is different beacuse with the I-140 PP going away for now...and my H1B expiring Feb 2008...I am left with approved I-140,Labor and retrogressed dates to be eligible for 3yr extension.
Now that if 140 is pending ...then I am left with EAD as the only option to continue manitaing my status.
Correct my intrepretation of law if wrong..
