Gary Neville will take the first steps on what is expected to be his new career when he takes on the role of co-commentator on MUTV next week.
Neville will hold the microphone alongside commentator David Stowell for next Wednesday's FA Youth Cup game against Newcastle.
Sportsmail's Charles Sale revealed last month that Sky are lining up Neville to be a pundit.
Neville announced his retirement from football last week after a hugely successful career, during which he won eight Premier League titles and a European Cup.
