Sir Alex Ferguson wants a decision from Paul Scholes about his plans next season.
The Daily Star says Fergie admits it will be almost impossible to replace Scholes when the midfield veteran retires.
Scholes, 36, is mulling over signing a contract extension and playing one more season for Fergie’s men.
He has told club officials he will make a decision before the summer but he could choose to pack it in and bring the curtain down on his illustrious career.
