Sir Alex Ferguson is set to end his interest in Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea.
The Daily Star says Ferguson has sent scouts to watch Atletico Madrid’s highly-rated stopper with a summer swoop in mind.
But De Gea, 20, has now pledged his future to the La Liga outfit, forcing Fergie into looking elsewhere for a long-term replacement for the veteran Dutchman.
Schalke star Manuel Neuer, Ranger's Allan McGregor and Liverpool stopper pepe reina are on United's radar.
