Zoran Tosic and Tom Heaton left Manchester United

Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic has officially joined Russian side CSKA Moscow on a five-year deal for £8m.

The international winger made just five substitute appearances for the Red Devils. Tosic, who is currently away on World Cup duty, had struggled to feature in Sir Alex Ferguson's first team since joining from Partizan Belgrade in January 2009. After making no Premier League appearances last season, he fired in five Bundesliga goals with Cologne after moving on loan in the New Year.
Despite efforts by the German side to make the switch permanent, CSKA's financial muscle has seen them agree a reported £8 million deal to bring the Serbia World Cup 2010 player to the club.

Cologne admitted earlier this week that they could not afford to keep the 23-year-old, even though they were keen to do so.
Director Michael Meier said: 'We made him an offer to stay. But the sums of money put before him make it hard for any German club to compete.'

CSKA have far more cash and while United are not disclosing the fee, they appear to have made a profit on the player they paid £7million to Partizan Belgrade for.

Meanwhile, Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton has agreed to join Cardiff after rejecting a new contract at Old Trafford.
Heaton, who made 24 appearances during a loan spell at Cardiff in the 2008/09 season, has accepted a permanent move to the Championship club and will join on July 1.

He had failed to make a first-team appearance during his United career, but had been offered the opportunity to stay with the Premier League giants.
However, after spending loan spells at QPR, Rochdale and Wycombe last season, the 24-year-old has opted to link up with Dave Jones' side for the prospect of regular first-team football.

Cardiff boss Jones said: "I'm pleased that we have secured Tom's services from Manchester United.
"We all know about the lad from his time on loan here and know that we have signed a very talented young player.

"United had offered him a new contract, but Tom's attitude was that he wanted to play, which says a lot about him as a player and a professional. He will certainly be a welcome addition to our ranks.
