Greece whizkid to snub Real Madrid and set his sight on Man Utd

Real Madrid have been blanked by Panathinaikos whizkid Sotirios Ninis.
Madrid sources say while Real are keen on the 20 year-old attacking midfielder, Ninis has made it clear through intermediaries that his first choice when leaving Panathinaikos will be Manchester United.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering Ninis as a successor for Paul Scholes and knows the midfielder's contract carries a foreign buyout clause of £8 million.
Barcelona are reported ready to rival Manchester United in a move for Panathinaikos playmaker Sotiris Ninis.

The Catalans will keep a close eye on the 20-year-old when Panathinaikos come to the Nou Camp for the start of the Champions League group stage on Tuesday night.

United have long tracked Ninis, a player who can operate on either wing or behind a centre forward.

AC Milan and Real Madrid have also tracked the Albania-born Greece international, but are already awash with attacking options.

Reports have suggested Ninis has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford, but Spanish sources are convinced that Barca can change his mind.
